Vision Statement 2008

“growing to love God and serve our neighbours”

Vision Statement

We want to be a growing community of Christ’s followers, through evangelism and discipleship. We have Jesus as our Head and we want to be a “Spirit and Word” church, experiencing the supernatural power of God and utilising the spiritual gifts He gives to us. We believe that everybody who wants to belong has a part to play in the life of HCC and we want to value everyone’s contribution. We feel it is important to share honestly about our lives as we believe that following Jesus is more about relationship and a journey, rather than signing up to a set of rules. Our aim is to be genuine family and community to one another, meeting regularly and pressing onwards. Everyone is welcome and no-one is perfect!

Our Values:

·         Jesus at the Centre - we are followers of Jesus.
·         Every member ministry - participation is expected and encouraged.
·         The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are encouraged.
·         We seek to live our lives in conformity to God's Word as it is revealed.
·         As Church we are the body of Christ - we all have a role.
·         We worship God 24/7 as we offer our lives to Him.
·         We are committed to serving the community of Pinehurst.
·         We are open to God’s call to ‘go’ and serve wherever He may lead us – there are no ‘no-go’ areas.
·         As part of the Pioneer church movement we will seek to be open to new ideas, expressions of church etc and are prepared to experiment.
