Christmas at Hertford Community Church
Help to make Christmas happen! Believe it or not, Christmas is just around the corner and as ever, HCC is either running or helping to run a number of Christmas activities for the peo¬ple of Pinehurst. All of these events are a fantastic way for the church to be a blessing in the Pinehurst community and are always tons of fun as well! All of them need PEOPLE for them to be a success and run smoothly so please consider if you would like to volunteer to be involved in helping to make any of the following happen .. . • Pinehurst Christmas Fayre - Saturday 6th Dec (morning). Need people to help set up, serve on stalls, serve tea and coffee, clear away afterwards. ALSO please have a hunt around and see if you have any 'nearly new' stuff for the stalls - good quality bric-a-brac please!
• Pinehurst Children's Party (being run by Pinehurst Resident's Association) - Saturday 20th Dec (afternoon). The children's party always needs helpers to be on hand to ensure the afternoon is as fun as possible for many of the primary-aged children on the estate.
• Senior Citizen's Christmas Lunch - Sunday 14th Dec (1.00pm onwards). Need people to help setup the hall, welcome and chat with our senior guests, help to prep food, serve and join in with carol singing!
• Christmas Carol Service'- Sunday 21st Dec (late afternoon I early evening). Need helpers to make the whole thing brilliant! - potentially drama, making things in advance, serving tea and coffee etc. All the events will take place in the Pinehurst Community Centre. If you've never been involved with any of these events before, now is your chance! Let's make every opportunity count in terms of being a blessing to the community, being genuine community ourselves and being excited about the real meaning of Christmas - Jesus!
If you would like to be involved in any of the above events, there will be a sign up sheet available after the morning meetings. Alternatively, speak to Jo, Rick or Ian
