VISION:
As PAX has grown and developed, and the children associated with HCC have grown and matured, a need has developed to take some of the kids further on in their walk with Jesus. “The GAP” will hopefully help to meet that need.
“To encourage & help develop the spiritual lives of the children…”
Above is an excerpt of the ongoing objectives of the Children’s ministry, and at the core, this is what “The GAP” aims to do. As the tagline “making space for God” suggests, it will be an opportunity for the kids to have at least an hour every week dedicated to furthering their relationship with Jesus, becoming the “history makers” of the future.
FORMAT:
The GAP will take the form of an hour long cell, working with the 4 W’s. It is aimed at the 10 to 12 age bracket, though would welcome children of other ages in certain circumstances. As the kids grow and learn, we hope to give them opportunities to serve at the cell by doing one of the W’s, or even volunteering at PAX.
We will be meeting in a home on Pinehurst, generously provided by Mike & Ali Hoodless. Ali Hoodless & Ross Hartwig will lead the cell, providing structure and direction but also encouraging the kids to step out and be independent in their faith.
