Our Network

HCC believes that an expression of the church, like our little community, cannot exist in isolation and so consider it important to foster good connections with other organisations. Below are links to partners we feel we have a particularly strong connection to:

Pioneer Network

HCC has been part of the Pioneer Network of churches from our inception. Pioneer provides access to support, wider fellowship, accountability and resources. It's also nice to "belong" to something bigger than us! - www.pioneer.org.uk

The Evangelical Alliance

HCC is also part of the Evangelical Alliance. It is the largest and oldest body representing the UK’s two million evangelical Christians. For more than 165 years, the EA has been bringing Christians together and helping them listen to, and be heard by, the government, media and society. - www.eauk.org

Hertford & District Churches Together

As well as being connected to the wider Church through various networks, we also believe strongly in local church and church unity in particular.  HCC is part of the local churches together, working to together to serve Hertford and the surrounding towns.

Hertford & Ware Street Pastors

Street Pastors nationally is a partnership between the local council, police and churches seeking to make the night life of our towns a little safer for everyone. Hertford & Ware have had Street Pastors since about 2009, and HCC is fully behind the work they do. HCC have had a number of members both in the past and currently, who volunteer either as Street Pastors or Prayer Pastors. - www.streetpastors.org/locations/hertford-ware

FutureHope

It was early 2000's when our very own Mark Wood birthed the vision of FutureHope to serve young people in crisis. FutureHope, as a part of the Hertford Community Church Trust charity, has developed over the last decade to become a well known and respected local organisation serving the community. The are most famous for their mobile youth centre, a converted mobile library fully equipped with games consoles and hot chocolate! - www.future-hope.org.uk

DNA logo full

DNA is an exciting Christian Discipleship and Leadership Development course.
It is for everyone, whatever you age or stage of life - whether for you it is a Gap Year, a Sabbatical, or part of your Education. It can be done alongside your work and family commitments. Importantly, DNA is a course to be done in your home church or host church context.

Both Ross and Jess from Hertford Community Church are part of the DNA Team and HCC have supported many people to do DNA over the years. We highly recommend it!

Check out their website for more information and how to apply.

Our Service

What about my kids?

Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of the service for the welcome, songs and notices. We really value worshipping God all together as a family.

Getting Connected

Small Groups (called Life Groups)

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our Life Groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have two Life Groups that meet in the week, both of them in the evening. Check out Small Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.

Serving and Volunteering

If you want to get involved in the life of the church and help us make Sundays run smoothly, you can sign up to serve on a team.
